Jes Averhart

Jes Averhart

I'm a Midwestern girl! I'm also a fourth-generation entrepreneur, creator of 28 Days of Reinvention and host of Reinvention Road Trip Podcast. I’m also the mom of a six-foot, five-inch teenage boy and one-foot, eleven-inch bulldog named Roscoe. Over the last two decades, I've worked with a portfolio of Fortune 500 companies and public sector organizations on the principles of transformational leadership, self-discovery, and the art of reinvention.

I realized my true passion for leadership development and women’s empowerment while leading partner engagement at the American Underground, a Google for Startups Tech Hub (aka, the “Startup Capital of the South” by CNBC). After spending much of my time immersed in the startup scene, I was inspired to co-found Black Wall Street Homecoming, a nonprofit aimed at closing the funding gap for Black and Brown tech founders.

I love writing in the mountains and on beaches of North Carolina, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and globe-trotting. But without question, my greatest gift is my son Tre, who helps keep all things in perspective!

Terresa Zimmerman

Terresa Zimmerman

Founder of Wood Underwear®, co-founder of sayhii, entrepreneur, advisor, mentor, challenge seeker. I’ve always considered myself a citizen of the world but always wanted to be from that small town where everyone knows your name. My career progression takes on that look.

I started my career on the global stage and claim my “MBA” from lived world experience. Based around the globe, I worked with the world’s largest companies on their brand and strategy challenges at pivotal moments of change for them and in the world.

Going from big corporate to being, perhaps, the only female founder of a men’s underwear brand was a massive pivot and one that gave me a light-bulb moment: I love Main Street. Multi-generational store owners, new store founders, all people who give life and color to our small cities and towns. They make the world go round. That’s where I love spending my time and energy.

I advise founders, business owners, and teams. I’m training for another marathon and forever trying to improve my golf game. David and I are always on the lookout for our next great adventure. We currently live in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Richmond, Virginia, with our Aussies, Whizkey and Tequila.
